Announcing the passing of Ambassador Dan Karobia Njoroge on January 3rd 2015
Dan Jonathan Karobia Njoroge was born in Muranga, Kenya on January 29th in the year 1940. Mr. Karobia graduated at the University of Nairobi in 1971. He went onto work at the co-operative college in Langata, Kenya as Director of studies. In 1974 he was appointed Director of the Commonwealth Youth Program in Africa. In 1978 he relocated to London as the Director of Youth representing the commonwealth countries. At the end of the tenure, he moved back to Kenya and was shortly after appointed to the post of Kenya Ambassador to France/Spain and The Vatican until 1996.
He then returned to Kenya and worked as an undersecretary until his retirement and moved to Decatur, Georgia where he lived with his family until his passing.
He is survived by his wife Carrie Wambui Karobia and his children Charles Njoroge, Beatrice Njeri, Gerald Kihiu and Miriam Wanjiku. His Daughter in-law Jane Wanjiru Kibunja and grandchildren Sgt. Daniel Karobia, Sarah Karobia, Jessica Karobia, Daniel Karobia Kihiu, Tom Karobia Kihiu
