Moses Njoroge AKA Musa wa Laikipia is a youth champion and an advocate of good governance. MKL Musa MCA

I'm from Nanyuki ward, in Laikipia East constituency in Laikipia county.

I am a BBM  graduate from MKU, and a diploma holder from K.I.M school of management.

Elections 2017

I am an aspirant for Nanyuki ward MCA (on an independent candidate ticket)

Political structures in Kenya denies young people to take part in their affairs by putting a notion that politics is not for the youths, and although Kenyan youths constitutes the biggest chunk of voters they have not succeeded to harness political power within the political institutions including political parties.

The youths are often relegated to lower and insignificant positions such as youths leagues with limited resources and authority.

We as youths must participate in the political process or else will always be an item on the agenda when the national cake is divided.

I believe that as the youth we must in 2017 send our own on the table or else will only end up on that table like the chicken who always end up on the table but as an item on the menu.

MKL MCA Advert

Challenges I face as a youth aspirant.

Lack of enough resources in terms of campaigns funding.

Cultural belief that youths are leaders of tomorrow.

The culture that people believe that when you go into politics you must be very rich therefore expecting lots of money from you.

Having to deal with hooligans that are used by the rich politicians.

Why I believe in better placed.

I am energetic

I am more informed than most of the incumbents in terms of education.

I can connect better more so to the youths who make a big part of the population.

It's time that the youths are given a chance to lead.

Support that the youths need.

Youths need people of good will that can support them in terms of resources for campaigns.

Moral support and encouragement is very important.

Parties should give at least 30% of nominations to the youths as direct contenders.

Security.

Message to the youths.

Musa Wa laikipia

Youths constitutes the large percentage of Kenyans population. However the youths are the forgotten majority.

We can change this and make sure that our voices are heard.

We must make a decision to participate in the political process and make sure that our voices are hard.

Taking into consideration that we comprise the majority that means that whatever decision we make as a block can affect this nation from the presidential elections to the village elders.

We must realize the power that is bestowed on our hands in the numbers we have and MAKE IT COUNT.

I STAND TO BE COUNTED.

"I am propelled by a desire to better the lives of people of Nanyuki and Laikipia as a whole so that when the sun sets on my side I will be glad that I made Kenya a better place than I found it when I was born"  SO GOD HELP ME.

Nanyuki OpenWhile YOUTH is traditionally defined as the age set between 15-35 , the youth doesn't have a single biological age. Indeed there's no consensus on the definition of the Youth, there are divergent views.

The value of the youth lies only not on their age but also in their vision creativity and value.

A foremost quality of a youth is imagination that is manifested in the form of freshness vigor and creativity. Most importantly youth is about vision for a better tomorrow; the thought beyond now and a period for change freedom and prosperity.

Youth is a period of learning and building a reservoir to through Life as captured by the Moroccan proved " instruction in a youth is like engraving in stone" its a cultural moment that shapes the future"

LOOKING AT YOUTH AS A MARE BIOLOGICAL STAGE A TRANSITORY AND TEMPORARY MOMENT DELEGITIMIZES YOUTH AS A KEY ACTORS IN GOVERNANCE AND DEVELOPMENT"  (adopted from Raphael Obonyo)

THIS IS A TIME THAT WE MUST SEE THE YOUTHS AS KEY ACTORS OF THE ECONOMY.

I AM  DETERMINED TO BE THAT YOUTH THAT BRINGS THAT CHANGE THAT I WANT TO SEE IN NANYUKI, LAIKIPIA AND IN KENYA.

Please support my DREAM.
